Mid-Valley Monarchs

The Mid-Valley Monarchs Basketball program was started in 2007 by Terry Williams and Ron
Hittner, former women's basketball coaches at Corban University in Salem, as well former high school head coaches at West Salem and Blanchet, respectively.

Coach Williams and Coach Hittner began the program with the goal of providing an affordable,
first-class program for developing young female players from across Oregon and Southwest
Washington.  By running the program as a non-profit, the Monarchs are able to hold costs to the
lowest amount of any elite program in the Pacific Northwest, yet still provide training, development, and top quality coaching from a collegiate coaches' perspective.

Focus on Player Development, Not Profits

Unlike most of the elite programs in the Pacific Northwest, all of our coaches are volunteers.  Each coach is committed to focusing on player development rather than personal gain or organization profits.  We have been fortunate to obtain the services of such great coaches as
Rosey Ball (former co-head coach at Corban University), Mardy Benedict (head girls coach at Lebanon High School), Jeremy Vandenboer (assistant coach Linfield College; former head coach at Mt Hood Community College), Tom Anderson (head coach at Willamina High School), Chad Meadors (head coach at Bushnell University), Jesse Ailstock (former head coach at Chemeketa Community College), Gary Hull (head boys coach at Western Mennonite High School), Nick McWilliams (former head girls coach at South Salem High School), Tori Hittner (assistant coach at Blanchet Catholic and Sprague High School), Steve Ball (assistant coach at Corban University), Kylie Towry (assistant coach at Willamette University and Chico State), Bailey Hittner (All-State player and State Champion at Blanchet Catholic), Elvis Hicks (former assistant coach at South Salem High School), Derek Imig (head coach at Salem Academy Christian School),  Emily Cope (assistant coach at Salem Academy Christian School) and many others.
